Spring term


Although a very short spring term lots of great sporting activities have happened this term. The children participated in the Gymnastics competition at Coalville Gymnastics club were they did amazing. Achieving 1st overall in the individual U7 and 2nd in the team competition. Other placings ranging from 7th- 16th out of 208 children. Year5/6 competed in the orienteering where they finished 3rd as a school team with over 300 children participating. Again year 5/6 competed in the Swimming Gala.
The Sport Ambassadors organised the whole school to participate in the Sport Relief Mile where they raised over £160.
Year 2 had a morning participating in the Healthy Roadshow ran by  NWLSSP which they really enjoyed.
While new clubs have been ran such as Archery and Bubbles.
The staff have had lots of CPD through weekly sessions from NWLSSP and attended courses on pilates. archery and gymnastics.

Autumn Term 2017

Wow!!!!!
Amazing term of sport from competing in Tag Rugby and getting to the quarter finals as well as Dodgeball, coming 4th in the Sports Hall Athletics out of 20 schools and receiving the Spirit of the Games, performing in the Dance Festival and the list goes on.
Lots of training this term too for the Bronze sport Ambassadors and play coaches.
To top it off receiving  Sainsbury's Gold Kitemark Award for the second year running!!!!

Spring Term

Spring Term
This term as been another busy term of events from Gymnastics to Football. The children have competed in many sporting compeitions  with great success. Children were placed in the in Gymnastics competition in individual and team competition with a 1st , 2nd and 3rd place with over 300 children competing from different schools. The Swimming Gala the children came 11th out of 25 schools and the Year 3/4 football team narrowly missed out on the semi finals of the Measham Welfare tournament. Other competitions this term were Orienteering and Hockey.
The year 2 children took part in a Healthy Roadshow and the whole school raised money for Fitness in schools.
Now looking forward to the Summer term!!!!!!!

Autumn term

Wow!. What a fantastic term of sport. Well done to all the children that have participated in a sporting events last term. You were all a credit to the school.
